“I am ready for a new challenge in 2027 and look forward to continuing to serve my country in the national security and foreign policy realm,” McCaul said.

During his time in Congress, McCaul has pushed for bolstering U.S. export controls and outbound investment restrictions on China (see 2503270054 and 2503240014). He also has been a proponent of the Australia-U.K.-U.S. security partnership and increased sanctions on Iran (see 2410020038 and 2408140052).
