New FCC Consumer and Accessibility Advisory Committee to Meet Sept. 10
The FCC announced that its new Consumer Protection and Accessibility Advisory Committee (CPAAC) will meet for the first time Sept. 10 at 9 a.m. at FCC headquarters. Chairman Brendan Carr appointed Elizabeth Hill, board member-at-large of the National Association of State Agencies for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and Logan Kolas, director of technology at the American Consumer Institute, as co-chairs.

CPAAC replaces the FCC’s Consumer Advisory Committee “and was renamed to better reflect its broader mission, which now includes matters relating to disability access,” said a notice in Monday’s Daily Digest. The CAC last met in September (see 2409240036). The previous month, the FCC announced CAC was being rechartered and sought nominations for membership (see 2408050028).
