AT&T Ready for Hurricane Season

AT&T is prepared for the start of hurricane season, the carrier said Monday. It has a new 45-foot custom-built landing craft "capable of transporting trucks, network assets and other solutions,” and public safety agencies subscribed to FirstNet “have 24/7 access to a dedicated nationwide fleet of more than 180 deployable network assets,” the company said.

“With more than $1 billion invested in the U.S. since its inception more than 30 years ago, our Network Disaster Recovery program is one of the largest in the industry,” AT&T said. “Our team of more than 400 recovery team members has trained in the field and has access to more than 5,400 portable generators, fuel trailers and logistical support equipment.”
