Starry Meets FCC Staff on 37 GHz Draft
Starry executives spoke with staff from the Wireless Bureau and Office of Engineering and Technology on the company’s support for a draft order on the 37 GHz band proposed for a vote at the April 27 FCC meeting (see 2504070054). Starry is making the rounds at the FCC and earlier spoke with an aide to Commissioner Geoffrey Starks (see 2504150044).

“Starry highlighted that the type of coordination used in the 70/80 GHz band has worked very well for federal and non-federal users, and can easily be adapted to this band,” the filing said. Starry also discussed technical issues, including the treatment of end-user terminals in a fixed point-to-multipoint deployment “and the associated power levels, and the use of sectorization within the first phase of the coordination process.”
