Rep. Stefanik to Join China Commission
Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., whose nomination to be U.S. ambassador to the U.N. was recently withdrawn because of the tight House Republican majority, announced April 9 that she has been appointed to the Congressional-Executive Commission on China.

As a House member, Stefanik has been outspoken on several China issues. For example, she urged the Commerce Department last year to revoke all export licenses for China’s Huawei, saying it was allowing a foreign adversary's company to obtain too much advanced U.S. technology (see 2404260031).
