ITC Schedules Public Hearing on Impact of Caribbean Economic Recovery Act
The International Trade Commission scheduled a public hearing on Feb. 20 to determine the economic impact of the Caribbean Basin Economic Recovery Act, it said in a notice to be published Jan. 15. The deadline is Feb. 5 for filing requests to appear at the public hearing; Feb. 7 for filing prehearing briefs and statements; and Feb. 12 for filing electronic copies of public hearing oral statements.

The hearing is preparation for its 2025 report on the effect of the Act of trade in calendar years 2023 to 2024 "on the United States economy generally as well as on those specific domestic industries which produce articles that are like ... articles being imported into the United States from beneficiary countries; and the probable future effect the Act will have on the United States economy generally, as well as on such domestic industries."
