New House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast, R-Fla., announced Jan. 8 that he has appointed seven subcommittee chairs for the 119th Congress:

- Africa: Rep. Christopher Smith, R-N.J.
- East Asia and Pacific: Rep. Young Kim, R-Calif.
- Europe: Rep. Keith Self, R-Texas
- Middle East and North Africa: Rep. Michael Lawler, R-N.Y.
- South and Central Asia: Rep. Bill Huizenga, R-Mich.
- Western Hemisphere: Rep. Maria Salazar, R-Fla.
- Oversight and Intelligence: Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla.
Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., will be vice chairman of the full committee.
