OFAC Rule Adds Myanmar License, Updates Other Sanctions Regs
A final rule released Aug. 20 by the Office of Foreign Assets Control adds a new general license for Myanmar and updates “terminology and references” across other sanctions program regulations, OFAC said.

The rule, which takes effect Aug. 21, adds a general license that authorizes transactions involving agricultural commodities, medicine, medical devices, replacement parts and components for medical devices, or software updates for medical devices with people sanctioned under the Burma Sanctions Regulations. OFAC made other changes to update language and correct references in the Sudan Stabilization Sanctions Regulations and the Ukraine-/Russia-Related Sanctions Regulations.
