State Dept. Approves 4 Military Sales, Including One Related to AUKUS
The State Department this month has so far approved four potential military sales worth nearly $3 billion combined, including one to help give training to Australia as part of the Australia-U.K.-U.S. (AUKUS) partnership.

The sale to Australia includes $2 billion worth of training, “training devices” and related equipment in support of pillar one of AUKUS, which seeks to eventually deliver nuclear-powered submarine capabilities to Australia, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said. The principal contractors will be Huntington Ingalls Industries, General Dynamics Electric Boat and Systems Planning Analysis.
A sale to Saudi Arabia includes $582 million worth of “RE-3A Tactical Airborne Surveillance System Aircraft Modernization” and related equipment. The principal contractor will be L3Harris Technologies.
South Korea will get $271 million worth of F-35 munitions and related equipment, DSCA said, and the principal contractors will be Lockheed Martin, Raytheon Missiles and Defense, and Boeing.
The fourth sale will send $85 million worth of “AN/TPQ-50 Radar” and related equipment to the United Arab Emirates. The principal contractor will be SRC Inc.
