CBP Set to Deploy Next Phase of ACE Portal Modernization Beginning Oct. 20
CBP will soon be deploying phase 2 of its ACE Portal Modernization initiative, the agency said. The deployment, which itself will come in two phases Oct. 20 and Nov. 8, will include updates to the references tab and the ACE protest launch button; a launch button for the migrated arrive/export in-bonds user interface; document upload and management functionality for facilities and foreign-trade zones; and blanket declaration functionality.

Implementation will include transition periods when both the legacy and the modernized ACE portals may be used. For protest, quota and AD/CVD, the transition period will run Oct. 20-28. For entry summary and arrive/export in-bonds, the transition period will run Nov. 8-21. After those transition periods, these functions may be used only in the modernized ACE Portal. An earlier version of the website had said the first set of deployments would come Oct. 15.
CBP will hold support calls to assist trade and PGA users during the second half of the deployment, the agency said. A pre-deployment call will be held Nov. 7 at 2 p.m. EST, and a post-deployment call will be held Nov. 9 at the same time. “ACE Portal Modernization training resources for Phase 2 are forthcoming and will be available on the ACE Training and References webpage,” CBP said.
