can operate without unacceptable interference to Iridium's Ka-band feeder link operations, Inmarsat, SES and ViaSat representatives told an aide to Commissioner Mike O'Rielly, said a docket 17-95 ex parte filing posted Tuesday: That policy would balance Iridium concerns with FCC responsibility for most efficient use of spectrum. “Not only are their assertions belied by the record, they are contradicted by their own earlier filings," Iridium emailed us. The three other satellite companies said ESIM operations in the 28.35-28.6 GHz band won't unduly interfere with upper microwave flexible use service (UMFUS) operations in the 27.5-28.35 GHz band thanks to out-of-band emissions limits on fixed earth stations. They said there shouldn't be limits on ESIM operations in the 28.35-28.6 GHz band. The Global Mobile Suppliers Association, which has concerns about ESIM interference with UMFUS operations in the band (see 1708310004), didn't comment.
