Wheat State Telephone in Kansas "emphasized the difficulties of deploying additional broadband and operating their existing networks on the limited support from the ACAM Path or the RoR Path," said a WTA filing posted in docket 10-90 Thursday on a meeting with aides to Commissioner Ajit Pai. "There is simply not enough money for them to keep up with the growing broadband service needs and demands of their rural customers. In such a climate, they urgently ask the Commission not to impose unnecessary regulatory burdens and costs upon them." The officials also discussed broadband privacy, security and broadcast retransmission consent.
