The study will include a review of the current triennial rulemaking process for granting exemptions to Section 1201's ban on circumvention of technological copy protection measures. The study also will examine existing permanent exemptions to the section, the law's anti-trafficking provisions and other Section 1201-related consumer issues (see 1512280030 and 1601050055).
