Smith cited a couple FCC statements in a news release, including that the cost of an ICS call was sometimes "ballooning" to $14 per minute, which he said was extremely rare. "The FCC should not make misleading statements that result in threats to the lives of our executives and their families," he said. An FCC spokesman had no comment.
