CV: China Certain Magnesia Carbon Bricks

The International Trade Administration has made a preliminary negative countervailing duty determination that no countervailable subsidies are being provided to the production or exportation of certain magnesia carbon bricks from China.

ITA Preliminarily Finds De Minimis CV Duty Rates

The ITA has found the following preliminary CV duty rates:

No CV Cash Deposits/Bonds to be Collected, No Suspension of Liquidation

As a result of this negative preliminary determination, the ITA will not instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to collect CV duty cash deposits or bonds on imports of certain magnesia carbon bricks from China.

The ITA will also not direct CBP to suspend liquidation of entries of subject merchandise from China.

Investigation to be Terminated if Final Determination is Negative

If the ITA's final CV duty determination for subject merchandise is negative, this investigation will be terminated.

(If the ITA's final determination is affirmative, the International Trade Commission will make its final injury determination within 45 days after the ITA's final determination. If the ITA makes an affirmative final determination, and the ITC makes an affirmative final injury determination, the ITA will issue a CV duty order.)
