AD: Mexico Carbon and Certain Alloy Steel Wire Rod

The International Trade Administration has issued its final results of the antidumping duty administrative review of carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod from Mexico for the period of October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006.

AD Cash Deposit Instructions for a Time of Entry on or after 03/13/08:

(a) For merchandise exported by producers or exporters not covered in this review but covered a prior segment, the AD duty cash deposit rate will continue to be the company-specific rate from the final results;

(b) If the exporter is not a firm covered in this review or a prior segment, but the producer is, the AD duty cash deposit rate will be that established for the producer of the merchandise in these final results of review or in the final determination; and

(c) If neither the exporter nor the producer is a firm covered in this review or the investigation, the AD duty cash deposit rate will be 17.70%, the all-others rate established in the AD investigation.

Assessment Instructions for the Review Period (10/01/05 - 09/30/06)

The ITA will issue appropriate assessment instructions directly to U.S. Customs and Border Protection 41 days after March 13, 2008.

The ITA states that it calculated an importer-specific duty assessment rate for Hylsa.

Where the assessment rate is above de minimis, the ITA will instruct CBP to assess duties on all entries of subject merchandise by that importer.
