United Telecom Council. This week, OET turned back requests to extend July 8 comment date filed by N.Y. State Office for Technology (OFT), which sought 60-day reprieve, and Software Defined Radio (SDR) Forum, which sought 30 additional days. NY OFT said it needed more time because it’s participating in 2 other FCC proceedings that have same comment date, including reply comment date for 800 MHz interference mitigation proposals. Last week, agency delayed by 30 days that reply comment date based on progress being made toward compromise proposal. SDR Forum said it wanted more time to more fully respond to questions and because it’s writing interim report on SDR that is due to FCC in mid-July. “An extension of time would not permit full consideration of all the public comments,” OET said in order.
