Fox TV Stations said it’s buying WPWR-TV (Ch. 50 UPN) Chicago from Newsweb Corp. for $425 million cash. Upon approval by FCC, Fox will own TV duopolies in 9 markets; It now owns WFLD (Ch. 32 Fox) Chicago.
