in U.S. to uplink fixed-satellite service transmission to either or both of Eutelsat satellites. Downlink transmissions from Eutelsat satellites, which are in nonconventional frequency bands, aren’t permitted. Placing Eutelsat satellites on permitted list will stimulate U.S. competition, provide alternatives in choosing communications providers and services, reduce prices and facilitate technological innovation, FCC said.
