Marc Ganzi’s Post

A tremendous day for our fiber team at DigitalBridge as we sign a milestone acquisition for our portfolio company Zayo Group with the acquisition of Crown Castle's fiber business for $4.25 billion USD. This incredible network adds 90,000 route miles in key metro areas like NYC, LA and Miami, the places where high speed, low latency routes are needed and growing! I want to thank the board of directors of Crown Castle for their trust in our team and specifically Steven Moskowitz. We go back over 25 years in the tower business together and it has been fun to watch our careers evolve Steve. I wish you and the shareholders of Crown Castle all the best as you pivot rightfully to full tower business model and unlock value for your shareholders! Good to be partners here. Now the fun part, closing and integration and I know our team at Zayo Group is ready, kudos to Steve Smith, Andrés Irlando, Jeff Noto, Nikos Katinakis, Bill Long, Mike Mooney and the entire team that made this happen! Let's get after it. I want to thank our partners at EQT Group, specifically Jan Vesely, Nirav Shah, Arnav Mitra and Arjun Raghuraman for their tireless work and no quit attitude on this complex transaction! Well done guys - we did it. Huge recognition to my fiber team, led by Jonathan Friesel, and my other partners, Raymond Pang, Maggie Hayes, Stefan Olofsson, Thomas Yanagi, Harsh Shah, Peter Esposto and Michael Moore who worked for the last few months supporting the deal and making it a reality! #towers #CCI #DBRG #EQT #DigitalInfrastructure #FiberNetworks #AIconnectivity #LowLatency #darkfiber #ZAYO

Congratulations to DigitalBridge portfolio company Zayo Group on entering into a definitive agreement to acquire Crown Castle’s Fiber Solutions business in a transaction valuing the business at approximately $4.25 billion. A transformational move that expands the Zayo network with approximately 90,000 additional route miles of fiber and 70,000 on-net locations. This acquisition strengthens Zayo’s high-performance connectivity solutions for AI, cloud computing, and enterprise customers, while enhancing its presence in metro markets and complementing its long-haul network. With this milestone, Zayo continues to reinforce its leadership in next-generation digital infrastructure.   The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2026.
